My name is Najib Daulatzai, and I am a Consultant General and Colorectal Surgeon practising in London and Hertfordshire, with specialist expertise in robotic and minimally invasive surgery. I am one of a small number of colorectal surgeons in the UK who is multi-platform trained, operating on both the da Vinci Xi and da Vinci 5 (DV5) robotic systems as a routine part of my practice.

My clinical interests span the full breadth of colorectal and general surgery, including colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticular disease, and perianal conditions such as haemorrhoids, fissures, and fistulas.. I also perform hernia repairs using robotic techniques and am an accredited endoscopist, carrying out diagnostic and surveillance colonoscopy and flexible sigmoidoscopy.

I completed my medical degree at University College Hospital London and undertook specialist colorectal surgical fellowships at St Mark's Hospital London and Frimley Park Hospital, gaining extensive experience in complex colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and advanced robotic and laparoscopic surgery. I hold a Master's degree in Surgical Sciences from University College London and an MD (Research) from Imperial College London, and have authored numerous publications and presented at national and international conferences.

I hold an NHS consultant post at West Hertfordshire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, where I also serve as NELA (National Emergency Laparotomy Audit) Lead. I see private patients at Spire Bushey Hospital, The Wellington Hospital, and HCA Golders Green Outpatients.
